Well, seeing things changes a lot sometimes. If a pic is worth 1,000 words, a vid must be worth…at least 1001.
I seriously wouldn’t have believed the Alabama (umbrella) Rig was truly castable until I saw this vid (the first one below). Still have questions or at least a mental hurdle about 5 or however many hooks in the water at once – for derbies – but the marbles are banging around upstairs and who knows how that’ll come out. Check it below.
My favorite parts:
> 1/8-ounce jigheads with 5/0 hooks
> Rig it to fish 5 frogs at once!
Gotta say that if/since you can cast these things, I want to try it, even in the salt.
Git yoes heeah.

I just figured out what I’m going to do with that old umbrella I have in the closet. I’m going fishing. I’ll open it up, attache a few worms or jigs hooked to the metal rods underneath, and throw it in the water. It should float. I’ll crack open a cold one, and sit back and wait. I might even head back to the ramp. The umbrella will act as a buoy. So I can find it later, no sweat. The waves will give it some action, and big round shape of the umbrella will attract the fish, and in just a few minutes, I should be in business.

What is 6 Months. The over/under on how long before it’s illegal in bass tournaments.
