Today's Top 4
1. Champlain holes burned?
Unofficial word is that some VT clubs are burning largie grass areas before multi-day events on Champlain so those fish aren't caught and weighed in NY…and thus stay there. Which they definitely do because Shin Fukae managed to win the recent FLW right by Plattsburgh, NY, which I don't think has ever happened before.
Anyone know if these rumors are true? Any opinions whether true or not?
2. Couple more Champ thangs.
This guy, James Ciferni, won this weekend's Champlain BFL with all smallies, 20-10. 1-dayers can be won with all smalls, not multi-dayers.
b. Space-time continuum.
When you're fishing Champlain, watch out for Champ, our version of the Loch Ness monster…which may get there through breaks in the space-time-continuum (aka wormholes), according to this guy:

3. Tournament bass fishing is not exactly the center of the universe.
– WTH?? Randall Tharp you are stone cold crazy mang! Dude, seriously: You could get arrested for tellin' lies like that.
Next thing you know, Tharp'll be tellin' us that these two told the truth too:
4. Boom! goes the dyamite.
I love this! Too long but don't have to watch it all:

Design patent awarded to A-rig inventor, utility patent pending. One thing to get a patent, a way more expensive thing to enforce it.
After 2-day derby 2 teams had 36.1 lbs. Odds of that happenin' are like odds of LeBron goin' back to Cleveland….
4. AR: Ouachita consumption advisory.
Wishbone Marketing.
Not bassin', but when the feds can shut down public waters to fishin', be worried. It's already happenin'.

Tip of the Day
FLWer Greg Bohannan:
> “This is an excellent time to get on a really solid [main lake] dock bite. The most consistent action seems to happen whenever you target the shallowest part of the dock such as the back posts.
> "I start by making repetitive pitches…while paying close attention to my depth. When I start getting a few bites, this can be a very easy deal to pattern by targeting docks in similar depth zones."
> "…wooden docks attract more algae, resulting in a more prominent baitfish population. Any foam located around these docks can also be very productive for the same reasons."
> "I always look for old, decrepit docks. These docks will often have trash hanging off the sides or brush piles in front. Prettier, newer docks tend to be a lot cleaner with less cover on which bass can position.”
Quote of the Day
There’s big prize money at stake, maybe millions of dollars….
– FLWer Tom Monsoor talkin' 'bout bassin'?! Don't know if Tom's been watchin' too much Cheech and Chong or what, but he must be thinkin' this:
