The Kids Need Your Help

Many a bassin’ event has been held to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a wonderful thing. Well, a Wisconsin basser whose heart is in the right place has organized a thing you may have seen elsewhere called Jerseys for St. Jude, and is looking for bassers to help him help the kids.

Just like it sounds, Jerseys for St. Jude auctions off the jerseys of famous and semi-famous bassers, the proceeds of which go to the hospital. But that’s not all. This time around, Paul – the aforementioned WI basser – has arranged it so that if you win the set of Kellogg’s Fishing Team jerseys, you get to pick from the following fishin’ experiences:

> Dave Lefebre on Presque Isle Bay, PA
> Greg Bohannan on Table Rock, MO or Beaver Lake, AR
> Jim Tutt on Lake O’ The Pines, TX
> Shin Fukae on any one of the FLW Tour stops

Honestly, I can’t pick one.

This is the “FLW Outdoors Week” of Jerseys for St. Jude, so this week’s auctions also includes jerseys from Scott Martin and David Dudley, the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup Champion and FLW Tour Angler of the Year, respectively.

To see the current eBay auctions, go here. I am so diggin’ the Cheez-It jersey, if nothing else for Halloween….

The auctions run through Sunday, April 8, but don’t be waitin’ ’til the last minute!

More on St. Jude

The mission of St. Jude is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. On average, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital touches the lives of over 7,800 children each year, regardless of a family’s ability to pay for treatment. St. Jude is currently celebrating 50 years of finding cures and saving lives. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child.
