Are you ready? Of course you are.
Because three words describe you: Die Hard Basser.
You love to fish, love to catch even more, hate to lose, must have the latest, greatest, coolest fishing stuff there is. Especially if the stuff ROCKS, as my good buddy Z-Train says FishingGold! does.
So WTH is it?
First, full disclosure: “I” (my little company) built it. It took a LOOOOONG time, but it’s worth it.
What it does, to quote the homepage, is to “show you fishing pattern information in an entirely new way – graphs and charts, then drill down to the pattern details. Find the fishing-catching gold embedded in tens, hundreds, thousands of fish-catching pattern records. Mine the pros’ data or your own, the result is the same: Gold, baby!”

It’ll take longer to explain it here than it will for you to figure out the site on your own or watch the vid tour below, but some important points:
> FishingGold! launches with nearly 1,500 tournament records covering more than 650 events over 40 years on more than 150 lakes. Most are BASS tournaments from the start of BASS in the ’60s all the way up to this year, and more are on the way. Sweet for fishin’ and fantasy fishin’.
> FishingGold! staffers are entering more tournament data regularly, from a variety of circuits.
> FishingGold! members can also enter their own pattern information – tourney finishes or just fishing logs/reports – and benefit from all of the same tools.
Our own Al Smith, head of FishingGold! membership, said, “We’re excited to be able to offer a new tool to grassroots fishermen that’ll help them with their fishing and tournament success. Keep your eye out for more new opportunities coming soon.”

Dude, first of all y’all rock! Second, y’all are what Dr. Phil might refer to as “enablers”! Evil, diabolical genius enablers to those of us with incurable gadget addictions! I am powerless to resist yet another fishing “tool”, be it of the “data mining” variety or what have you. Just got my LineDancers in the mail yesterday, now I have to put those on hold to register!
