This
Be remindin' me of this
Just one reason:
> I’ve always prepared for tournaments with my own system, trying to do things my own way and it’s paid off throughout my career. Just because I had a bad season doesn’t mean I have to revamp everything, but I do need to look at a few things differently.
Translation: I will change whatever I have to change to win.
A lot of guys can't or won't do that.

Boat hit a barge. RIP bassin' brothers.
> …Carey Downs, 39, and Jeremie Floyd, 40, were driving a bass boat through the lake when they hit the barge, throwing them from the boat.
> "There were ropes floating in the water like it had broken loose, and I don't know that it had or not," Sanders said. "But the rope's floating like it has broke loose, and I've never seen a barge parked like that, and I travel these waters all the time."
> Officials said neither of the men were wearing life jackets….
Dang folks, please be extra careful out there.

Tip of the Day
> If the lake you’re fishing has plenty of flow and you think the bass are deep, you should be looking for them on more subtle breaks – the big breaks will all have gotten hammered. You’re looking for places that drop off 2, 3 or 4 feet instead of 8 or 10.
> You want to key on anything that runs way out in the lake: road beds, long points, humps. There are numbers and numbers of places you can look for them when they go deep. What’s really great in a tournament is if everybody is looking for bass in 25 feet of water and you find fish at 15 feet.
> [Depending on the lake type] 25 feet is usually a good place to start, even though that’s almost out of range of all the crankbaits out there, except maybe the Strike King 10XD….
> If the fish really get deep where you can’t reach them with even the biggest, deepest-diving crankbait, I like to fish a Chigger Craw on a Carolina rig. Or you can fish a finesse worm on a shakey head jig. I admit it – I’ve stooped to fishing a shakey head when I didn’t think they’d bite anything else.
Quote of the Day
We crossed a dam on a lake and my mom is talking about how pretty and clean it is and I am thinking that I could catch a fish off that point.
– Bassin' sister Pam Martin-Wells. For guy bassers this would be zackly the same xept we would not hear what the other person was sayin' hahaha!
Shot of the Day
